Meditation is one of the simplest ways to tune into yourself everyday. The simple act of sitting quietly and listening inwards offers enormous health benefits in itself. Meditation can be as relaxing or as complex and challenging as you make it. There are as many techniques available for stilling the mind, as there are people who need them!
Our lives are full of distractions that take us away from this stillness. This is why meditation is becoming more popular everyday. We need to factor in time to withdraw our attention from the material world that we are so heavily invested in. Instead if we withdraw out of that frantic head space and learn to feel and be present to how we actually are, we begin to get a very different perspective of ourselves in relation to others and our world.
Meditation gives us the space to respond, rather than react to every moment and given that life works on the principle of cause and effect, being able to respond makes a huge difference to our ongoing quality of life and the kind of experiences that we attract.
I run a regular transmission meditation group in alignment with the principles of Share International. This begins with a simple invocation (see below) to the beings of light that can help us and is a method of getting out of your own way to let healing and conscious awakening occur. It is held every Monday night at 7pm and is simple and open to anyone.

From the point of Light within the Mind of God Let light stream forth into the minds of men. Let Light descend on Earth.
From the point of Love within the Heart of God Let love stream forth into the hearts of men. May Christ return to Earth.
From the center where the Will of God is known Let purpose guide the little wills of men ― The purpose which the Masters know and serve.
From the center which we call the race of men Let the Plan of Love and Light work out.
And may it seal the door where evil dwells.
